This year in English class nine is looking into how English in Australia is used. They have already looked at English in Great Britain and the United States of America.
The first focus of the course was on the native Aborigines of Australia and in particular the stolen generation of children that were forcibly removed from their parents by the white people that ruled the land. The extremely sad history was well received by the class and the students paid homage to the story by producing a wall display.
Students were focused, excited and motivated to produce the display which was created on the floor first. After hanging the poster up the students also placed there pre-prepared information posters on the wall.
The students of class 9 are extremely proud of what they have achieved and are keen to continue learning about Australia.
